Hello and welcome to Cross Section, the forum for Christian Digital Artists.
This forum is meant for Christians to gather and talk about life and art in general, and digital art in particular. We expect a respectful attitude of mutual respect from all of our members.
1. First and foremost, this is a Christian forum. This means:
a - Our core beliefs are not debatable:
* We believe in a Triune God -- The Father, The Son and the Spirit are three facets of a single, Omniscient , Omnipotent, Divine Person, (Deu 6:4) who Created all the things known and unknown (Isa 42:5).
* There's only One Saviour and One Mediator between God and Men (1 Tim 2:5): Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son (John 3:16), God himself become man (Php 2:5-6), who came in the flesh (2 Jn 1:7) and never sinned (Heb 4:15), and died as atonement for the sins we've all committed (1 Jn 1:8, Isa 53:5-6), paying our debt with his own blood (Rev 7:14, 1 Jn 1:7), and was raised from the dead the third day as prophesized (1 Co 15:3-4) for his sinless life and perfect sacrifice (John 1:29, Heb 7:26-38) defeated death and sin forever (Rom 8:2, Rev 1:18). He's God over all things (Rom 9:5).
* God's desire is that no soul is lost but for all to be saved (2 Pe 3:9), and that we find rest in Him from our pains and works (Mat 11:28). God is love -- though love as much as tender love (1 Cor 13).
* The Bible is the inerrant Word of God, given to man by God himself, and as such, it is inherently beneficial to us (2 Ti 3:16-17). It is, therefore, inerrant -- the first and foremost authority on God's Will, God's Doing and God's Laws for mankind, and is over all opposing views of men and self-styled experts (2 Pe 1:19-21).
* God is to be worshipped in Spirit and Truth (John 4:24), not through idols, which God has forbidden (Exo 20:4-5).
b - We're not interested in other systems of belief (proselitizing or "showing us the error of our ways" will only get you banned, then we will dissect your post and delete it post-mortem).
c - We not only allow but encourage discussion of subjects related to Christian faith (daily life, Scripture, apologetics, testifying, etc.) -- as long as it's civil and there's no name insulting and name calling. If you want to prove something, do it Scripturally. When nicknames or denominations are named in heat, topics get locked.
2. Indecent, disrespectful, segregationist or slanderous remarks are all grounds for post and account deletion.
3. This is not the place to grow competitive. Competent, yes, competitive, no. Everybody's better than anybody else at something; we're also here to learn from each other and improve. When someone calls for comments on her/his piece, make sure yours is neutral and constructive. This is not as much a forum rule as a Biblical one: treat others as you would be treated.
4. Generally, people in a site like this is expect to post art based. We're fine with that, as long as you don't try
to sell anything that's not yours. That'll get you banned. Property violations in general are grounds for banning: posting requests for pirated software or content or directions for obtaining them will get the offending posts deleted and the author will be banned.
